Two well-known personalities in Northampton amateur dramatic circles - John Lott and Patricia Bancroft - are teamed in the Masque Theatre's coming production of Bernard Shaw's Candida.
John will portray the Rev. James Morrell and Patricia has the title role of his wife, Candida.
Tim Ribbans will play the third part in this Shavian domestic triangle; Marchbanks, the romantic young man who intrudes and falls in love with Candida.
John Lott has played several monarchs on local stages; King John and Henry V in Shakespearean productions in Abington Park and Charles II in Shaw's In Good King Charles's Golden Days at the Arts Theatre.
Patricia Bancroft and Tim Ribbans were both recently seen in Camelot at Spinney Hill Hall.
Playing supporting roles in Candida are Patricia Kent, Peter Ayres and Owen Warr.
Produced by Stan Monk, Shaw's comedy will open next Tuesday at the Arts Theatre, Pytchley Street.
Masque Theatre's production is directed by Stan Monk.
